Palo Duro Canyon OK?

Thinking of stopping there in October. Do you have to drive into the canyon to get to the campsites? It looks like there are 2 different campsite areas, Mesquite/Sagebrush and Hackberry, any recommendations?

Now your In my stomping grounds....the pull in isn't too terrible (I don't think)...it is a lil narrow and twisty for a short bit....but also look into caprock canyons...I love october...usually cool nights/eve but perfect during day for biking/hiking...

I personally preferr caprock, but they are both nice..

You might be OK with your Trail Runner, but after first going into the canyons, I decided not to take my 41 foot Landmark--too hairy for me.
