How narrow of a door?
I put a door over our micro, with the strut.

The opening is less than 6 inches. I'm sure I could find something to use, but the standard strut available at CW was too large.

My opening is about 21.5 x 7.5.
I ordered from Heartland, a 23.5 x 10 cabinet door, looks great. If you order, also order all the matching hardware and a strut. You will get a strut that works.
