We have a 2012 Cyclone 3800. We had a power trip to our house which tripped the power to the camper. Now that we've turned the electric back on to the camper the refrigerator is not working. Any ideas?:(

Reset the power to the camper and then if the light don't come on reset the breakers in the camper. Make sure your 12 volt power is on.

Does it work on LP?
If not you may have a blown 12 volt fuse on the refer control board.
If it works on LP but not 120, check the breakers. Reset them, not just a visual.
Your refer receptacle is also on the GFI circuit. So check your GFI's.

We've checked the cord going into the refrigerator and it has power. We also hooked it up to an alternate power sorce still didn't come on. So it's the fridge its self.

Did you check the 12 volt as recomended by Lwmcguir?
The refer requires 12 volts to run on LP and 120 volt.
Do you use some sort of surge protection for your rig?

Peace
Dave

Hey Cookie! Seems like we had a similar problem in the past, huh? Which surge protector do you recommend for our BH 3055? Hope you been doing great. Thanks for your valued opinion, and of course, anyone else is welcome to render their opinion as well.

Hi Betty. I have the Progressive EMS hardwired version. Lifetime warranty. Tweety's has pretty good pricing on them.
You should buy about 5 feet of cable when installing. The extra cable is not necessary but makes the job easier. Not a real difficult job.
I also have the remote pendant in the cabinet so I can see what is going on.
It has saved me a couple of times.
This is the only one i have experience with so I can't comment on the other brands.
I think they all do what they are designed to do.
Doin great here Betty. Take care.

Peace
Dave

We have checked everything even the 12 volt. Like I said there is power into the cord going to the refridgerator but it wouldn't turn on. Plus we also have a large power surge protector.

jnbhobe has faster fingers than me! You say that you checked the 12 volt, but did you check the 12 volt fuse on the control module at the back of the fridge? If your fridge is like mine, you need to remove the control module cover to access the fuse. If your fridge won't turn on, you likely have no 12 volts as stated by others. Your control module may have a 120 volt fuse also.

When Cookie says to check the breakers and not just a visual. I know what he means -- You can hardly see by looking that these breakers are tripped. If you need to reset one you have to switch it off and then back on. They won't reset by just switching them the rest of the way on, without switching them off first.

Re: Power trip and Domestic Refrigerator stopped working

I recently had a problem with my fridge not cooling and found I had blown a 4 amp fuze which controls the fans in the rear of the unit. It is an inline fuze with a red wire leading to it. Once I replaced the fuze I had no further problems.
