Rear roof cap separated from roof

I have a 2017, 365 landmark tour. The screws that attach the rear cap to the roof have pulled out. The Rubber membrane for the roof separated from the front cap last year and I had the rubber membrane replaced. Now a year later the rear cap has pulled away from the roof leaving a small gap between the cap and rubber membrane. I’m guessing the screws should go through the plywood and into the aluminum framing of the roof. I was thinking of installing new screws in between the old screws after cleaning and applying new sealant in the gap, any recommendations?

I think that a wide strip of Eternabond sealant tape would make a better seal than caulk. Its what I have been using over the years, and my front cap has been removed/replaced several times. Eternabond tape can be removed with the careful use of a heat gun. Be careful, as the original Dicor rubber roof membrane can melt under high heat.

Sorry, I don't know about the screws. Maybe try a You Tube search.

Thank you for your response. I will definitely check into the Eternabond tape that you had mentioned.

I believe that the screws along the rear cap go into something, whether it is plywood or the aluminum frame. I’m more concerned as to why they backed out and why the Dicor allowed this to happen. Who installed the new roof? I would take it back to them and have them correct the issue.

I would put some sort of elastic adhesive like RVers Goop on the screw threads/hole to keep them from unscrewing. If they are pulling out of the holes you might have to think of something more major like wing anchors.
