I have the RM3962 refrigerator and I need to replace the thermostat that was removed by the prior owner. It is located on the top rear of unit and controls the cooling fan behind the refrigerator located near the top of the slide vent. I have one cooling fan-should there be more? Is ther a generic thermostst available to use. Doesanyone know the cut in and cut out temps for this thermostat. Thanks in advance for your information. Product # is 921 14 62-40.

You could call Dometic and order one.
A simple install.
Some people have installed an extra fan and/or a toggle switch to run the fan at all times.

Peace

I believe the cut in/cut out point of the themosistor (thermostat) is 120 degrees.

At the Northeastern Regional Rally, there was a Dometic seminar. We learned that that these come in 90 and 120 versions. The Dometic rep that did the seminar told us that he swapped his out to the 90 degree model and that his fans run quite often.

I purchased a thermostat from dometic. How does it mount to the cooling fin? (prior owner removed it). There is no clip with it. Use a self threading screw through the fin?. Anyone have a picture.
Thanks

Yes, secure with short 3/8" sheet metal screws.
