Removing spare tire

Hi we are new to the site, need some help with removing the spare tire from a 28rls north trail 2011, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

britree, I'm not up to date on any new or different ways of Heartlands spare mounting so you have to look for a rod that is used to crank the spare to the ground. It should be in a storage compartment somewhere. Hope this helps.

On my 2011 North Trail the spare was located under the tongue where the batteries are located. As Ray said, there are a couple of cranks in the basement. One of them is for the slide, but one is for the tire. If I remember right the shaft is on the door side of the trailer under the tongue.

If your spare tire fitting looks like mine, you need a crank handle like mine. It was missing from my rig, so the dealer gave me the one with the price tag still on it.
