Re: Electrical Help Please

We have the factory cut off switch as well in our 2009. However, here is the problem I had and the solution. I was finding that I had no 12 volt and the generator would not start. The test of the battery worked fine and after checking the charging system everything was OK. I played with everything then finally I found that the negative terminal's crimp was making and breaking. I dismantled the crimp and soldered it in place on the wire. Everything is 100% now.

Re: Electrical Help Please

My problem was a bad converter and ground cable. I've had the two mentioned items replaced along with a new fuel pump, tail light, oven, lug nuts and a few other misc. items on a new trailer. I hope I'm coming to the end of the break in period!

Re: Electrical Help Please

Do you know what was bad with the ground cable and which ground- the one coming off the converter?
Thanks, John

Re: Electrical Help Please

Same exact issue. Time for Heartland to stop using crimps and start soldering the connection and then heat wrapping it.
