Really? I tested it and it works. In any case, here is the sequence to find them from the top level:
  • RVing
  • Restoring our Heartland Landmark
  • Replacing the Floor
  • The Final Result

An update to our restoration. We finished everything finally but we aren't sure about the vinyl plank in the DR/LR slide. It leaves a channel at the edge that we just can't fix. Tried various things but it looks like we will go back to a carpet just in the slide.

We replaced the broken window in the cabinet above the desk with a dark coloured plain one. Don't even notice that it has no design.

It's been a while but here is the latest update. First of all, we decided to put carpet back but just in the slide. We had it installed but the edging was coming off. They took it back and looked for someone who could make a better edge. Took them a long time but it is coming today. My suggestion for anyone else doing this leave the carpet in the slide if it isn't too dirty/worn or replace it but don't do the vinyl plank in the slide.

Everything else is fine except the painting. The painters we hired were grossly incompetent. They sanded everything, primed it and painted with a paint that was supposed to wear really well. First of all, they sold us a bill of goods. We should have just cleaned and roughed the walls and painted over the existing paint. Now whenever we get the slightest scuff it shows white, the colour of the primer. Our plan now is to find a really good paint and repaint. Then we are going to Varathane everything with three coats. A lot of work but I think that it will look really good and will be tough.

Comments on our plan and recommendations for a good paint are welcome.

As to your exterior paint, have you looked into vehicle wraps?

Go to Google search, click "images" at the top of the page, type in "5th wheel RV vehicle wraps" in the search bar, and be amazed. You can even get a matching wrap for your tow vehicle.

Cool but the exterior is fine. I had all the damaged vinyl replaced last year and it looks great.

No, my issue is with the woodwork inside.

Since I plan to varathane everything I think I am just going to touch up the damaged areas (I still have some leftover paint) and then start my three coats of varathane. The only thing that worries me a bit is getting a little varathane on the walls since I don't want to spend the time masking every listt place. I assume that varathane won't hurt these walls.
