RV lock upgrade

My RV Lock keypad once again crumbles apart. Sometime ago I had suggested that they make and upgrade to the keypad and they did. It $24.95 and silicone. You have to remove the lock. Then remove the 5 little screws that holds the keypad circuit board in. Remove the old silicone pad and the old decal. Install the new and reassemble. While I was at it I refinished the exterior of the lock. The new silicone pad is not in the website. But you can call rvlock.

The RV Lock numbered keypads are simply junk, in my opinion. I have replaced several of the keypads and they keep falling apart. The RV Lock "support" keeps trying to blame me for pushing the buttons improperly...using finger nails, trying to actually hit the number with my nails, etc. I always use the flat, finger print, part of my finger and they still crack and crumble. Junk.

Your going to love the new one then. It's Silicone.
You install it from the inside of the lock. No more decals!

I thought that I would love the old ones too. The keypad failings are a systemic problem to which RV Lock is failing to stand up to.

I wonder if they have a replacement for the cargo bay door lock also. I have the same trouble with the older keypads. They do NOT last long. The sun just destroys them making them brittle and pron to cracking.

They do have replacements for the cargo bay doors. You may have to call them as they may not appear on their website. They will be happy to sell you keypad replacements over, and over, and over, and over again.
