Shopping for a trailer to export

I'm relocating to NZ. Looking for a small travel trailer that will fit into a shipping container . . . max height 7'4" max width 7'6". Easy conversion to 220V and accessible gas fittings (must be copper, no pex) an advantage. Most trailers can be made a bit lower by taking the A/C off the top and putting on dummy wheels. I'm looking at a local[h=2]2011 MPG183 ~19 FT[/h]Can anyone tell me how small that trailer could be made for shipping purposes. Thanks.

Hi sandgrubber,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and hopefully to the family.

I know there have been some units exported before, have not heard of any being put in a container. Hopefully some of our other members will jump in with some info for you.

Enjoy the forum.

I suggest you call Heartland in the morning at 574-262-5992 and ask for Travel Trailer Sales. Ask them to get with Engineering to find out what the height and width was of the MPG 183.

I would backstop that by calling the local seller of the MPG 183 and ask them to measure for you, then remeasure when you see it in-person.
