Shower door replacement. Do it yourself?

HI,
My BH 3055 was delivered in late '08 with a crack in the glass of the shower door. The dealer offered to replace it but that is 40 miles each way and probably some time waiting in the lot. I looked at it closely and it appears that the bed (the wooden box the mattress sits on) has to be removed first. Has anyone done this?

I replaced the shower door in our old 3055 and did not have to remove any part of the bed. You have to remove the top trim pieces If I recall. Took no time at all with a cord less drill.
