Slide arm and topper

First time out for the year with our 2025 Eddie Bauer 3101RL and BAM. The screws holding the topper in place pull out. Same slide the lag bolts holding the forward arm fell out. And that doesn’t count everything else that needed to be fixed after taking ownership. Is it possible this is a “lemon”? Heartland says they take price in their workmanship. I’d hate to see what would happen if they didn’t.

Sorry you had this problem

It looks like two of the four screws on the bracket have sheared off. Perhaps from over tightening. Or, could be a materials issue. Another possibility is the tool that was used during installation had it's torque settings go out of adjustment causing the screws to shear. Make sure when repaired, to check the screws on the other bracket of he slide topper to insure all four screws are tight.

The screws were literally laying on the ground next to the tire at the campground. I did check the remaining passengers that are in it. You want up along with 3/8 this time instead of quarter inch thanks for the advice.
