Slide out adjustment

When closing slide on our new North Country 2010 26slr, it moves in until the last couple of inches and then it tilts at an angle. Underneath one of the up/down adjustments is all the way to the bottom (looks like it was previously in the middle from the wear) and the other one is in the middle. Should they both be even? Should it be tilted at an angle when it closes?
We have read almost everything on this forum and manuals about slides and still are not sure.

Our 2015 BH is at the dealer right now for a similar problem. Ours hangs up about two inches before it is fully retracted. When we back it up a bit, it then falls forward (inward) and then can be retracted normally. The dealer is supposed to work it today. I'll let you know what they find. They have not been able to duplicate the malfunction as of yet.

Sometimes slide toppers are wound up too tightly when installed, or when the fabric is replaced, and if so they can put enough tension on the slide out to tilt the top of the slide in as it's retracted.
When our doorside slide malfunctions, the top rear inboard corner hangs-up causing the slide to tilt outward as the bottom continues in. The next time it happens, assuming the dealer doesn't find anything, I'll leave it in a bind and try to find the cause. This malfunction has occurred two times and each time I was in a panic to extend the slide in order to relieve the binding.

1. Look inside the coach to see if something has gotten in the path of the slide
2. In the bound up condition, look under the slide at the cross-over bar that connects the 2 pinion gears to see if it's twisted.

Dan,
I'm assuming you're addressing both the OP and me. (Hope I haven't hijacked this thread?) My problem is intermittent and I feel that something is slightly out of adjustment and when there is a slight twist in the frame, the malfunction occurs. Both times this has happened, the doorside of the trailer has been on one 2x6 to keep weight on the tires when system levels. I have only tried to operate slides with trailer level. The first time it happened I checked the rig for level with a bubble level. The Auto Level System had the rig within less than half a bubble out of level. I'm assuming that is well within acceptable limits??

If something during leveling is causing the frame to twist, you certainly could have a bind in the slide room mechanism. I wouldn't think 2" of support under the wheels would cause a problem, but if that's the only time it happens, it's suspect.

Bowfishoholic,
Just got a call from our dealer that our BH was ready for pick up. As I suspected, they were not able to duplicate the slide problem. Our next trip will be next month and if it happens again, I'll have to do my own troubleshooting. I hope you have had better luck finding the cause and were able to repair your slide malfunction.
