slide room adjustment

Bag thing happened this last trip. While retracting the hydraulic slide room on our 2012 bighorn 3070 5th wheel, a laundry tub was in the path and caused one bottom corner of the slide to retract but held the other corner out thereby twisting the room. Now when retracted the room does not comletely seal, Also, now when the room is extended and then retracted it comes in on the bottom, but the top stays out. There are no heartland dealers within 100 miles who will work on the trailer because they said that I did not buy it there.
We purchased the trailer at a dealer in Myrtle Beach and we live in PA, about 500 miles. Any suggestions.

We did something similar - a cupboard door was open and caught the slide. Thankfully we caught it before it twisted as much as it sounds like yours did, but we did still need a little repair work done. We have no heartland dealers close to us, we live in NY and purchased the trailer in TN. The local rv place did an awesome job on the repair. That was actually the second time we had to have some work done, and both times they did a great job.

CCWREW, I would call Heartland Customer Service and ask for their help in arranging a service facility. Maybe the dealers you are trying to use think you are trying to have this serviced under warranty when that shouldn't be the case. Being that's it's self inflicted damage, they should be able to adjust the slide if that's all that's required.

A good place to start would be to look things over for apparent damage.
If you find no damage, you could try and adjust the slide yourself.
Look at the top of this page. You will see 'Tools'. Click on that, then click on 'HOM-Heartland Owners Manuals'.
Follow the route...'Slide-outs', Rooms', 'Lippert'.
There you will find the manual for Lippert slide-outs, including adjustment instructions.
This may be of some help.

Peace

FYI you can have your Hearland RV repaired at a non-Heartland dealer with prior approval from Heartland. Contact Heartland Customer Service for more information.
