Solar system

Greetings,

I just had 800 watts of solar (4 200 watt panels) installed on my roof, 4 100 amp Lithium batteries, a Victron 3000 watt pure sine wave inverter and had the system wired to flip a switch and all the inside outlets are fully 110v. All equipment is Victron and the batteries are Battle Born knock offs (same batteries). I can run all inside power units, even the microwave. I can run 1 AC for a couple hours but choose to use the generator for this.
All my camping is boondocking so I need all the power I can get as I run my laptop and a Starlink dish for internet and my TV has a Roku.
Great set up and I am thoroughly satisfied with my setup.

Nice setup for the rig. We do 3-months of dry camping in Key West over the winter with our set-up.

I use to dry camp in a primitive manner, always with a trailer though, but now that I am 77 years young I want a few more luxuries.

Our system is double your system, plus we have 960AHs of Elevation batteries. Yep, it is nice to be able to run the AC if you desire.

You are set up very well, your needs are more than I use and I only camp alone no woman...LOL>...when I run the AC I just run the generator as I have a 30 gallon onboard gas tank. I have thought about installing more batteries but seem necessary for my use. I may run the microwave occasionally and a light or two, the TV and the Starlink, not much power draw. I am out and away from the RV most days riding my RZR so it will charge up quickly for what I used earlier. A lot of the time I am outside enjoying the solitude.

We averaged about 1 hour a day on generator use. I track it and we used it less this year than last year for the same time period there.

Used Solar Energy Systems in Nappanee, Ind... They do allot of homes, farms in the area. Plus, they do the setups on the large Class A units from the factories. The shop is about 1 1/2 miles from the Newmar Repair Facility in Nappanee.

Sounds like they might know what they are doing on a large 5th wheel RV trailer.
