Ran the water for the 1st time on propane this past w/e and noticed soot just above the outside cover on side of coach. Never had that happen w/ old coach. Is this just from being new or improper shields behind cover?

I know they usually do smoke and smell when new.

Doesnt sound correct, you may have to much propane and not enough air mixture,it should not smoke or cause black smoke.

I would check for some type of nest or cob web and then check your oxygen/propane mix---the flame should be a blue, not orange--you can make the adjustment yourself.

The burner has a coat of oil on it. Must be burners off. Fire it up again and ser if it is still doing it.
