Splendid recommends always using a softener. This helps to release the clothes from the drum after that major 1200 rpm spin!.

I found taking the clothes out and "fluffing" them between the wash & dry cycle really helps minimize the wrinkles.

It does add a step - but if you were using "separates" you would be doing it anyway.

To answer the question about finding Calgon powder, I've been getting it at Meijers. I have not seen it at Wal-Mart. I may be mistaken, but I think the Geo method recommended the powder over the liquid softener.

Calgon !!!!!!

We have been using Calgon for several years. When I dump I then refill tank with the flush system and do this twice and the water is clear. I find it hard to find the Calgon but did find it at some of the smaller Grocery stores. I normally buy 5 boxes at a time. The liquid version is easy to find but I try not to use the Liquid. GBY....

We've always used Gain HE detergent. No problems here.
