The launch pad is at the entrance to the public beach. When you go over the Causeway to South Padre Island, you can see the launch pad while on the bridge. Also standing on the beach at the southern end of South Padre Island, you can see it. It is about 5 miles from the Causeway, but you need to drive around 40 miles to get to it, then 40 miles back to SPI.
