It may just be a very long "sink hole or maybe a sink ditch!" That opened up as he was parked for the night.

Seriously though, I bet he came in at night and didn't know where he was going. Drove in and had no choice but to try and keep going forward. It looks like there are businesses just beyond where he's stuck so he might have just missed the drive???

Actually he was leaving the campground. There was a large snow storm that evening and he missed the exit road trying to go through the ditch on the side

No photoshop as we know the owner John. Not sure what all the damage was though. Will have to give him a call this weekend.
