Tow capacity-Really?

If you want a 2500HD SRW to tow a BC3650RL you need to go look at a RAM 2500 HD with a 3900 LB payload. Nuff said no one has this truck except RAM.

AS far as towing the 15,500 lb rig, ALL 2500HD/F250HD trucks regardless of brand will tow the BC3650RL, But not all of them will support the pin load.

So we have decided to purchase a Big Country 3650. We will be getting it in April. We have also decided to purchase a Silverado SRW HD. Now for the hard part. Our Gross RV weight is 15,500. Will we be okay with a HD 2500 or do we need to get an HD 3500? I want to make sure we can stop this rig when we need to!

Ah, hem, not supporting the pin load is not safely towing them.

Not sure where you're coming up with a 3900# payload, but according to RAM's own spec sheet http://www.ramtrucks.com/assets/towing_guide/pdf/2015_ram_2500_towing_charts.pdf they don't either. In fact once you subtract passenger weight and fuel you're way under the 2350# pin weight of the BC3650RL. I did find it interesting that they reference compliance to SAE J2807 in the footnotes, as relates to the GVWR and Trailer GVW, but apparently not as it relates to pin weight. I also found it interesting that none of the 2500 with diesel option list anything but the 3.42 rear end.

You didn't scroll down enough, Bill. The 4x2, regular (2-door) cab, long box RAM with the 6.4L Hemi (Gas) engine has a 3,970 lb. payload with the 4.10 rear end. I don't think I'd want to listen to that 6.4 screaming up hills all day long, though.

the 4.10 diff is a result of increase in towing capacity. Not Payload. To Tow a BC3650RL he will have to have the 4.10:1 The 3.73 does not accommodate the 15,500 lb trailer.

Didn't think about them having their lineup in reverse order. Looks like you could add close to another 1000# by deleting the bed, but who would want a flat bed regular cab.
