two thoughts:

Back almost 10 years ago when I was working at a 4wd shop, we had a customer two in a Suzuki Samurai, that he had forgot to put in netural, he towed it about 50 miles in first gear at about 55mph, I forget the exact math but that ment the the poor little engine was turning almost 20,000 rpm before it let go and throw every rod and knocked fist sized holes in the block.
