Under side of dinning room slide

The laminate material on the underside of slide is peeling off. I noticed the broken off material on the inside after opening up slide. I looked under the slide outside and found a good size area where the laminate or black coating was ripped off and bare plywood was exposed. What could be causing this? My thought was a water leak and it created a bubble between laminate and plywood floor and when the slide rolled over it it broke loose. Any other thoughts would be appreciated. We are going to Rally in Goshen next week and hope to have a tech look at it.
