underbelly tape

Harry,

In some cases, the seamless Coruplast (corrugated plastic) underbelly has to be entered. To enter, often times a utility knife is used to cut into it and/ore remove it in sections.

When the it's time to close it back up, the seams should be tapes in some fashion. A few have found that a specific Nashua (a Tyco brand) flashing tape has the strength and adhesive to seal these seams, so long as the Coruplast has been well prepared.

To seal any gaps where the Coruplast meets the outside edge of the I-Beam, most people use an expanding foam sealer like Great Stuff or equivalent. After the foam dries, trim it and hit it with a bit of flat black spray paint so that beige foam blends better with the black frame and black Coruplast.
