Using a macerator on a 5th wheel - need to wait 2; hours after #2???

Do I need to wait 24 hours after going #2 for the unique digest enzymes to break things down before draining with macerator ?

you should always allow the blackwater tank to fill up at least half way (more is better) before dumping..... the shape of the tank may allow the solids to set on the bottom of the partially filled tank, so that when the valve is opened, the liquids drain away leaving the solids setting in the tank, which can "glue" itself to the bottom of the tank.... which is how the dreaded "poop pyramid" starts...

with the standard dump station, there is little need or desire for using a macerator when dumping, as gravity does all the necessary work... the macerator is handy if you need to pump the effluent up-hill to a collection container....
