Vacuum Breaker?

What is this thing under the kitchen sink? I thought it was a Vacuum Breaker, however I noted 2 Roof vents which to me would mean that a vacuum breaker wouldn’t be necessary.

It is an air admittance valve. If it isn't there, your drain will be slow, gurgle, suck the water out of the trap, to name a few. The vents go to the tanks, not to the various drains like a sticks and bricks built building.
