Warm water only from Suburban hot water heater

When on the electric side of the system we get warm water only, not really hot. This has only happened recently - previously it worker great. Switched to the LP and get hot water. It is a 2013 Bighorn that we bought used. The hot water heater is a Suburban.

Heating element is probably caked with hard water deposits. I just changed mine out when I replaced my anode rod and both looked badly fouled with deposits

First, make sure you are getting the proper voltage to the RV. If the voltage is low the water heater will not work properly. The electric-side thermostat could also be bad.

Do you have an outside shower? If so, make sure it's off. Happened to us.
