I had a truck camper that has the exact same pump as our Bighorn. I winterized the TC and took it to the storage lot. About 2-3 days later I remembered I forgot to disconnect the batteries so I went back to the lot and heard a humming sound. I had also forgot to shut off the pump switch an is was running dry all that time. I ordered the same pump on eBay for around $50 because I was sure it was shot. Never did have to replace that pump! So know I have an extra. Been using the same one in the Bighorn for over 4 years and we mostly dry camp. The pump is a little noisy but mine have sure hung in there.
