waterproofing rear tire splash area

While rewiring the rear stabilizer switch I noticed the black fabric covering the vertical rear overhang on the underside has worn and needs attention. The continuous spray action from the tires and fine dirt have created the damage. I tried using a truck bed liner spray and several coats and will see how that holds up. Anyone make a spray guard and attach it horizontally to the skirting and the bottom edge of the I beam? I assume it needs protection as the vertical piece is plywood of some kind. Thank you for your thoughts.

I would think the truck bed liner spray would work good. I had to replace some flooring above the wheel well (on a different rig) and used that rubber membrane sold at stores for lining showers before tiling. Glued it in with liquid nails and staples. It is tough......

Great idea. Flexible material and easy to mount with screws and let it extend down
a half inch or so. Maybe a bead of caulk on the backside before installing so water doesn't get up behind.
Thank you for sharing.
