Wet Bolt greese

I got my greese gun out and tubes of greese and am ready to do the task on the wet bolts and tri glide hitch. The package of greese tubes(small tubes) were kinda catching my eye in regards to the greese being General purpose greese. So I figured I would ask this question to you all before I start, is the General purpose greese good enough or is there some special kind of greese you all use ??

Thanks,
Bobby A

If you are only going to grease your wet bolts and Tri-Glide, what you have will be just fine.
I use a synthetic grease rated NLGI #2, GC-LB because it is the grease I use for everything.

I don't know if there is a special grease, but I can say I use a good quality regular grease on a regular basis ( every 2 weeks when traveling) this may be too much but I figure grease is cheaper than parts.

Don't remember where I got this, could have been at Lippert when I got them installed last year after the rally, a phone call to them, or from their website/literature, but here is what I've got.

NLGI Standard No 2 automotive grease to lubricate each fitting
Lubricate 14,000 miles, or once a year.

Bobby, don't forget about those fittings up under the tri-glide on the cross shafts. Many owners didn't know they were in there. Have fun with the forward one.;)

One more thing I'll add, when I was putting grease in mine getting ready for the trip to Gillette, I had about 3-4 that wouldn't take grease no matter how much pressure I put on the grease gun. After messing with it for several hours, I remembered see something on here about jacking up the rig to take pressure off. I did this (jacking on the FRAME), and they almost sucked the grease in!
