when to repack wheel bearings

I have a 2016 BC 3950 with 9000 miles. I would like feedback on the number of miles that I should repack the wheel bearings and replace seals.

The trailer manual that came in the blue pouch has a maintenance schedule for a whole bunch of things, including bearings. I haven't looked recently, but I think it says either 12,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. I think Dexter and Lippert say the same thing.

I do mine at 10,000 miles or 1 year which ever come first. This as the recommendation of the custom trailer shop that does mine. I also have them check everything associated with the running gear (e.g., brakes, springs, brackets, hubs, etc.). Gives me peace of mind.
