I have been trying to find out if there is supposed to be a door seal on the Half-Time oven door. I was cleaning it and noticed there is no door seal whatsoever. There is a black plastic ring about 1/4" but it is all pushed in around the door and doesn't do anything. Couldn't find anything in the manuals either.

That's all mine has and it seems to work just fine.

Thanks John, It works fine I just didn't know if it was leaking radiation or if my forgetfullness is just OLDTIMERS disease.

I'm not sure, maybe Midwest Sales will confirm, but that "seal" may be fabricated to act like a microwave absorber. The grid in the door glass does that. If I can find it at home, I have one of those microwave check meters that looks for leakage.

Reply from Midwest Sales.

It is fine. That is the door choke and if it looks pushed in it is still working. No need to replace it.
