Rear Bumper

My 2011 Bighorn 3610 RE came with no rear bumper. There appear to be provisions for mounting one at the rear end of the frame rails. I would have to locally fab the mounts myself. The question is, are there any negative ramifications to doing this mod that I may not have thought of? It would certainly provide a bit of protection to the fiberglass body end cap in the event of a low speed collision. I would want to provide a hitch receptacle on it for mounting a bike rack, cargo basket or???

It sounds like your 2011 3610RE came with brackets welded to the rear of the I-beams. These brackets are for mounting an approved rear hitch. Heartland may have those in stock. As far as you adding a bumper or anything not made specifically for those brackets (OEM) would most likely void the frame warranty.
Oh, and by the way, they stopped using those brackets sometime in August of 2010.

Peace
Dave
