With all the attention focused on tires, I have read lots on tire failures on other forums. Some of the threads talk about problems with rims. Does using aluminum for rims help to prevent tire failures as implied on some forums? Aestetics be *censored word*ed, I'm talking function here. Are the aluminum rims worth the extra cost? Will they save headaches later?
