Any recommendations for EPDM roof separation.

Have a 3 year old 3260 Heartland Bighorn and in the last few months have noticed the Aluminium warp on the roof that runs the length of the trailer appears to be separating thus lifting the rubber roof. Also appear to have a 1/2 to 3/4 inch separation between the first sheet of ply-board starting at front cap and second sheet of ply-board. Pictures attached.

Took it to a RV dealer and they inspected the roof. Found no leaks I have also thoroughly inspected every inch on the inside and have found no water leaks or even stains any where. He stated they see this issue all the time and just keep an eye on and if you notice staples underneath the roof carefully push then back down. As for the ply-board pulling apart it appears to have stopped and has not separated any further..

Pictures 1 & 2 look exactly the way mine has looked for the past seven years, since new. No problems.
I'm not sure what 3 & 4 are.

Peace
Dave

Pics 3 and 4 is a separation of the under lying lapboard between the first 2 boards starting at the front cap underneath the rubber roof

Gary: Have a 3 year old 3260 Heartland Bighorn and in the last few months have noticed the Aluminum warp on the roof that runs the length of the trailer is separating from the underlaying luan board thus lifting the rubber roof and there is a 1/2 to 3/4 inch separation between the first and second sheets of the underlaying ply-board/luan board starting at front cap. Why should this be happening on a 3 yr old 5th wheel. Any recommendations to correct the problem and what can Heartland do to assist in fixing the problems?

There answer: After reviewing the photos this is what our opinion is with these two issues. The gap in the decking is more than likely where we make the natural break at the front. The radius looks pretty normal form the pictures. We can offer suggestions to fix it if you feels it’s coming loose, but no coverage for any repairs.

Thanks

.............

They must believe all us 5th wheel owners are idiots to believe crap like this. Will spend the rest of my RVing days recommending anyone that asks to stay away from Hearltland products.
