What did you do to your camper today?

Tonight I hitched up the Prowler and pulled it out of the yard for a 6 a.m. Monday morning departure to the Las Vegas National HOC Rally.

Plus loaded all of the rest of the stuff for the trip.

However, this past Thursday and Friday I gave the Prowler a bath and a wax job on the nose, plus gave the truck a good external washing as well.

Who needs more storage??? Went to Bed Bath & Beyond and found those neat storage drawers for $19.95 each. Put them in the bathroom cabinet of our 2015 Landmark Key Largo. Also added the led, battery, touch lights from Home Depot. They also came in a packet of 2.

Put the battery back in and reinstalled my repaired Heng Vortex II fan in the bedroom, tied the vertical blinds back and raised the rear jacks. Made sure all was secure for hauling it to the dealer on Wednesday morning to have the bearings serviced and the furnace worked on.

Finally got my carpet dry after hooking up and turning on the water supply before noticing that the kitchen faucet lever had somehow gotten into the "open" position before the faucet itself changed from being over the sink in the island to over the floor in front of the island while traveling. Thank goodness no one was outside talking to me while I was in the process of hooking up the water. Needed to mop the floor anyway, gotter done. Another item to put on the check list.

I installed a Davis weather station using two brackets and a mast I made. It's wireless and solar powered with battery backup. The base unit is 110v during the day and battery at night.

The switch to retract the main awning was flaky and you had to hold the button just so to get it to retract. So I took it out to turn over, as I would rather have it fail lowering the awning than having it not retract. Wire locations all document and took it out to turn over, and decide to take the switch apart and check for crud on the contacts. Scraped off a few dark deposits and carefully put it back together. Note this was not my first rodeo inside a switch. Put it back together with my make down instead of up, and it is working fine both directions. Chris

Had a few small tears in my roof from a tailgate parking lot last weekend so I went up today to inspect and put down a couple strips of eterna bond tape to cover them. Nothing major and didn't want them to become a major problem either.

I heard your tailgate parties can get out of control. You were up on the roof dancing a Jig with a lamp shade on your head......I knew it!!

lol I wish it was simple as that. If I had a pole saw with me I would have trimmed some trees up. Lol

Spent a half an hour last night blowing the waterlines out with air. 27° this morning. Not a good sign.

I'll be doing that next week on the Prowler . . .

I opened the drain-outs Tuesday on the last leg of our trip home from the Vegas Rally so that the water would run out while driving, then pulled the anode rod out of the water heater when we got home to let that drain out.

We don't have any freeze warnings coming up for the next week or so . . .
