How many owners have had their dometic A/C replaced recently due to failure?

2015 Sundance Purchased fall, 2015.
15K Dometic AC replaced summer 2016 due to coolant leak.
Replacement seems to be working OK.

Have had both units replaced on our 2016 Big country. Purchased unit Dec 2016, replaced both air by august. Rear unit just went again. This will be the 3rd unit in 16 months. Did purchase the AC extended warranty for full 5 years. Others here in the resort have had very similar results.

Have not had issues with our 2016 BC, but ours built in Oct 2015. Do you know the date of manufacture on the ACs or can you tell us when your rig was built? (Tag on front, off door sidewall)

our living room ac in our 2017 cyclone 3513 is out. Runs, but does not cool any...probably a leak somewhere.
1 month and done, we are full time and are not able to go to a service station for the warranty.
Our dealer is LaMesa and they completely suck at service, very long wait times to get anything done and quality of work is desirable.
Will buy a new 15000 btu ac and install myself.

My last A/C was replaced by a small company that provided service while we were parked at a campground. They were an authorized dometic repair service/dealer. You could contact dometic and see if there is anyone in you current area that would provide road service or do a search for the nearest authorized service company. Worked for me. By the way I was near Miami, FL at the time. Good luck!

My unit is at River Ranch in Florida. A Dometic authorized service dealer has been out both times to replace the units. Have a call into them for the third unit. About a 30 minute drive from their shop.

If I was working on my third AC install - under warranty it would definitely be time for them to put a different brand in. Their quality control is definitely in trouble.

As it happens, Dometic provides warranty coverage on the Dometic air conditioners. So they are going to replace a defective unit with another Dometic unit.

Well Dometic reply is to go on their website and find someone.
I did this called a lot of them, most are stationary only, the handful that are mobile are either no longer in business or they just do not reply to any voicemail.

So, I asked Dometic to provide me with a phone number of a mobile service business or have someone call me.

I also told them i can do the replacement, i done it before.

Now we wait and see..........................

Good luck. Let us know what happens. We are fortunate to have a very responsive mobile service company south of you about 70 miles. They have had to order the unit as they ran low on stock having replaced 6 units in the past two weeks, all apparently 15K. Will be next week when they can get ours in and installed.

Dometic replied with a google search result for mobile rv centers.
I guess they do not have to be listed on dometic website.
I called one of them and left a message..will see...and keep you posted.

so far, sloppy customer service from Dometic.

Just had my back unit on 2015 Landmark replaced for the second time and for those of you that don't
know this dometic is replacing units that have been replaced under warranty but are now out of warranty and mine was replaced with a new type of unit
called a blizzard. They are not letting service people know this so you have to call and speak to them.

Well, I will have my unit replaced under warranty on site.
Found a mobil service center, they checked the unit and called Dometic.
The mobil service center was aware of the Dometic problem.
I get the a new Brisk II 15000btu, just have to pay a $75 trip fee.

I know when the unit(s) needs replaced when they are out of warranty, i will replace them with the Mach 3.

I purchased my Cyclone in Oct 2014. Two of my three AC developed issues recently with a lack of cooling. One had an average temp differential of 7 degrees and the other was much lower. Of course they are out of warranty and I found dometics website and customer service is sub par.

You can buy replacement units for a tad over $600 (B59516.XX1C0) and if you want someone else to install, it will total over $1100.

I went another route. Both units run. Both units are clean. Both units compressor starts. So I purchased a pair of bullet valves for $5.41 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FYIYIVA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 .

I also purchased a 1.8Lb bottle of R410a with hose and gauge for $72.76 from budgetacservice.com and an additional bottle only for $47.49 from regrigerantguys.com.

I have only been running the units for a week now since I did the service but my daily temp differential check shows a consistant 20+ degree change.

$125.66 vs $2200.
