Heartland Wilderness front cap LED lights

Got replacement lights from Heartland but not the same as built in 2016. Wires are not in the center so I made rubber gaskets (left over rubber from slide seal replacement) with grooves to allow wires to go to the center and still fit flush on the cap. Glued the gaskets to the back of the...

Heartland Wilderness front cap LED lights

The front cap LEDs on our 2016 2775RB have been decaying for some time and I haven't used them in the past year. No big deal... Unfortunately, the plastic base of the light strips is warping and I'm afraid water can get in behind it thru the hole the wires are run. I have removed both sides...

150 RV sites, 7 yurt tents, 6 tiny houses and a cabin. It will be nice once the trees mature.

    VA Beach to Sevierville, TN

Well.. just got back and want to let you know going west on I 64 toward I 81 has more climb than the return but the pull was not bad at all. Didn't try the I 85/40 route. Our trip went well and back home safely. Dolly's place is sweet in the spring!(y)

    VA Beach to Sevierville, TN

Two options for the trip coming up. I 64 to 81 (over Afton mountain) or I 64 to rt 460 in Richmond to I 81 outside Roanoke. I haven't towed our 2775 RB in the hills or mountains and am a bit concerned and want to take the best route. Pulling with our 2016 Ram 2500 (6.4 Hemi) any suggestions...

    Replacing a BAL Accu-Slide slide-out clip-in style wiper seal

Drew, I somewhat followed your wonderful guidance. Ordered 3" wipes with tape from RecPro, used the wife's sewing tools to trim (see T-7 attached). Cut the remaining seals/wipes off, cleaned the surfaces well and primed the aluminum with 3-M primer 94 (amazon) and set it using a paint stir...

    Replacing a BAL Accu-Slide slide-out clip-in style wiper seal

Drew-Z Thanks for the very detailed repair. I have ordered materials and will follow your recommendations. Better than the $1,300.00 estimate I got from a local RV repair shop!

Where can I get Slide wiper seal for a 2018 North Trail

I'd be curious to hear reviews from folks that used the Steele replacement. It looks like a better "mousetrap" but I'm gun shy at the cost of $330 for 60 feet. I have to replace 2 slides both inner and outer wipes :(

    Replacing Slide Out Seals

Rem, I too am facing slide seal replacements. FYI I contacted Heartland with my VIN and they stated Norco part number 0109807 was the correct part. $4.90 per foot. I'm still researching ways to change these out myself. I'll share lessons learned when completed. Bob

    2015 North Trail 24BHS roof

Team, we have had our bunk house for a year now and I want to be proactive regarding roof maintenance. She was actually manufactured June of 2014 so she is really 2 years old. Bottom line is that everyone asks "what type roof do you have?" New to the RV scene it's a bit overwhelming with all...

    20 amp AC?

Thanks for the input! FYI with two lights, converter, and a 13.5 AC running we drew between 14.5 and 15 amps. My friend had an in-line gauge to measure current. For extended use at the house (man cave or sleep overs) recommend 30 amp service to allow for head room. I appreciate the info as a...

    20 amp AC?

New North Trail owner. Wondering if I can run basic electric (lights and AC) off a single 20 amp circuit from the house. I don't want to fry any components and understand 30 amp is the norm.. Just trying to make due short term. Any suggestions? Thanks! Bob
