    Refill disposable propane bottles?

Yes it can be done, it works best if the cylinder being refilled is refilled right after being taken out of a freezer. Personally I can get one refilled about half way. Beware, it is against the law to refill disposable cylinders and illegal to transport them, so do it with your eyes open...

    Aluminum Fender Skirts

I guess you are looking for wheel well trim panels not not the skirts that go down the entire sides of the TT that hide and cover the sidewall to floor joint and the floor framing. Sorry for the confusion. Yes, the wheel well trim parts on the Edge are some sort of one piece on each side...

The Heartland Edge used aluminum skirts, and they are shown as availabe for order if you wanted to look into adapting them for your TT.

Thinking of using Adventure Caravans to Alaska. Has anybody used them?

Counter - point to last post. Adventure Caravans makes it clear guests are free to leave the caravan and re-join as they see fit. We get a trip book at the beginning so we know where the Caravan will be camping each and every night of the 59 days. At this point at day 35 only one person...

Thinking of using Adventure Caravans to Alaska. Has anybody used them?

As a guest traveling single to Alaska, Adventure Caravan charged me about $ 120 per day for the 59 day trip. This goes up to about $ 160 per day for 2 guest and a rig. What is covered below (for a better description see the Adventure web site). The price is same no matter if your rig is big...

Thinking of using Adventure Caravans to Alaska. Has anybody used them?

I am currently on 59 day Canadian Rockies and Alaska, June 18 thru August 15. traveling with my 2011 Edge towed by my 2006 VW Touareg SUV. There is also a Heartland Bighorn in the caravan. Having a great time. This tour uses the Top of World and Taylor highways but if taken slow is not too...

Setting up 12 Volt System for Best Dry Camping and CPAP Use

Suggest you put a battery voltage monitor into your TT. You will want to make sure you don't let your battery voltage drop below about 12 volts or you risk not being able to put in your slide out when its time to leave if you use too much of your stored battery energy. See below - if you...

Did 500 miles in my M21 today, also all good.

    braking question

There is a small cable connected to a break-away switch that when the plunger pulls out it applies 12 volts from your trailer batteries directly to the trailer brakes. This is separate from your brake light circuit, so generally if the break away switch operates it would not be "seen" by the...

Hammering when faucets (any) is turned on.

You must not have the pump right under the bed in the 22FBS like it is in the Edge M21 :-)

Bath Tub in Place of Big Shower

Water is very heavy, to put a residential bathtub in a RV takes a LOT of supporting structure to accommodate the worst case weight where it gets filled with water to the overflow point plus the weight of a largest person it is designed for, together that is over 500 lbs. That's why you don't...

Hammering when faucets (any) is turned on.

If you are trying to get to where it does not wake up someone sleeping when someone else uses water and the pump comes on when dry camping, forget it. Can't be done the way that the Heartland and pretty much all other smaller travel trailers are designed. Sorry its the brutal truth. The only...

    1st Time Buyer's Mistake

It will help the price "ouch" if you move up used to used and not used to new. My two cents.

    Unsupported foot of mattress?

FYI here is my design drawing for the bed extension with storage I built for my Edge. The storage is custom for 4 stackable plastic storage units sold at Wal-Mart to make use of the space under the extension. The space under the storage shelf is perfect for my sandals and slippers.

    SOLVED: Residential Fridge problem

Re: Inverter for fridge problem Keep in mind if the inverter size is increased the 12 volt fuse and 12 volt wire size between the battery bank and the inverter will likely both be under-sized and need to be increased too. Not sure what the point of running a huge residential refrigerator in a...
