Back from the lake but I didn't do any more measuring.I hadn't really noticed how unlevel the ground is for and aft and the front of the RV is a lot closer to the ground and that's why I can't back my truck under it.I did measure 48" from ground to white disk on 5th wheel but i'm thinking it...
That is a great looking hitch but I need to check to see about the 17.25 inches. We are going to the lake tomorrow so that will give me a chance to do some measuring and write everything down this time.I'm not in a big hurry for a hitch but I can almost hear Ruidoso calling my name. LoL
I'll try posting this again grrr.
Yes it seems our RV's are very similar along with out tow vehicles.I tried backing under our RV but the bed rails were too close so I stopped before I got too far under it.My grandson was in the bed of the truck and he measured just under the white disk down to...
I understand what you're saying and that's why i'm leaning towards the Curt. There is no way after doing some measuring that I can use the B@W with it's lowest setting of 17" and tow level and that's moving the pin on the RV up.I still have to maintain at least 5" between RV and the bed rails so...
I have been looking at 5th wheel hitches and since I got the factory hitch prep I have been looking at two so far.The Curt Q20 5th wheel and it has a 13 - 17 inch adjustment.B@W Companion 5th wheel and it's hitch height adjustment is 17 - 19 inches. The B@W has a higher rating of 25,000 lbs...
I'm interested in hearing a little more about your setup since my RV is wired for a backup camera.Once set up I should be able to view the camera on my radio when backing up if I can get everything installed.I do have some auxiliary switches I can use if necessary.
Thank you
That's what I was looking for and without knowing my pin weight now I have an idea.Heartland says mine is 2926 but that's before we started moving in LoL. I didn't order the air bags as I didn't think I would need them either.
Dave,I don't have a hitch in it yet but how much does yours drop in the rear when you hook your RV up to your truck ?.I'm trying to visualize how much drop I can roughly expect. Thank you.
Bill,we met a nice couple in 2009 while we were wintering in S. Texas with the last name of Knight. He had a 04 Dodge and if my memory hasn't failed me too much his RV was also a 08 Bighorn so now you see the coincidence ?.All these years I just took for granted it was you but now I need to go...
Bill, mine kept coming loose on the 3370RL so I took it off the wall and cut a 1X4 ,stained it to match the handrail and screwed it to the three studs then screwed the handrail to the 1X4.That solved my problem and it has been rock solid ever since and I plan on doing basically the same design on...
