Question on slide topper adjustment - should the torsion spring tension for a slide topper be greater when the slide is fully extended or be greater when the slide is retracted. Right now, the tension seems to be very high when the slide is fully retracted and I’m wondering if I need to back off...

I think the controller setting depends on truck, year model, controller used, etc. I have mine set on 7.0 and it is just right.

We have full body paint, which probably cleans easier, but I have found that Purple Power from Wal Mart works great!

The dealer installed mine - I ordered the unit with them, but Heartland had them dealer installed. The one thing that I can’t understand is that, after scrutinizing them, they all appear to be installed the same way. It’s just that two of them are rubbing.

Our Bighorn has an issue with the metal wrapped slide toppers installed by the dealer. We also had the slide toppers put on - not only does it help avoid debris accumulating on the slide tops, it helps keep the temps down on the slide tops when RVing on hot summer days.
