What did you do to your camper today?

I did an extensive amount of research and modified some of Dicor's instructions and at one point I wondered if I was in over my head but one day at a time it is done and better than if a shop had done it. I can say with certainty that I'll never do this again. I will help and advise somebody...

What did you do to your camper today?

Finished installing a new (warrenty replacement) tpo roof membrane on our 2015 Bighorn 3610. The original epdm roof developed the blistering problem from that era. This is not a job to take litely especially if you are a 65 year old retiree.

    Inside water pressure no good

I had a neighbor a couple years ago with identical symptoms. The rubber seal on the antiflow back valve where the water hose screws into had come loose and was partially blocking the opening.

Rain water in pass through basement storage

We had the same symptoms on our 2015 Bighorn shortly after taking delivery. After a lot of head scratching I determined that water was pooling in front of the gasket on the doors where the frame is held in with screws. In this case water was getting past the screws and running onto the...

    Frameless Window - Water Leak

We found the exact same issue on our 2015 BH3610 about 2 weeks after we took delivery. Water came in around the top of the rear window and was puddling on top of the entertainment center. I called the dealer immediately and after the owner talked me down off of the window ledge, the solution...

    Crack in outer body fiberglass

In looking closely at the photo it appears to me as though the force that broke the fiberglass was an outward force from the inside. It may be that the slide is badly out of adjustment with that upper corner hitting hard when opening and possibly over extending. If that is the case a good tech...

What did you do to your camper today?

I ordered 1 panel from http://www.fauxpanels.com/wellington-stone/styles-drystack.php?model=W2-DSP-PN-EA and cut it and assembled it to fit. The width was perfect but the height was only 25 7/8". I cut the top section and the bottom section and used the fireplace cutout area to do the sides...

What did you do to your camper today?

I've had this faux stone fireplace surround overlay cut for awhile but just glued it on today.

    2015 Mid Year GMC Trucks

We ordered a 2015 GMC Sierra 3500 Denali SRW and just took delivery of it Thursday evening. The level of comfort and included technology is overwelming. It is a piece of artwork. One of the few negatives we have found is the turn signal led lights in the new style chrome/folding mirrors...

    SOLVED: Residential Fridge problem

Re: Inverter for fridge problem I think that if you shut off the breaker in the breaker box for the refrigerator and turn on the inverter you should get an accurate test while still running all of the other circuits in the rig including the air conditioners. Power goes from the breaker box to...

Check your license plate holder for water infiltration!!!!!!!

I checked our 2015 Bighorn today and found the formentioned hole under the license plate light completely open to water runoff. Additionally there was a sag in the underbelly. If you guessed water you were right. Caulked the hole shut and dropped the moisture barrier to dry out. I expect...

    SOLVED: Residential Fridge problem

Re: starting amps? I am sorry the new inverter did not work out for you. I know there are several of us trying to be patient about getting this issue resolved. I am a little concerned that Heartland decided to move forward with a modified sine wave inverter as they can have compatibility...

    SOLVED: Residential Fridge problem

Re: Inverter for fridge problem The residential refrigerator/inverter option has 2 batteries connected in parallel so you have a good amount of stored 12 volt DC power available to power the inverter. If you look strictly at the startup or normal draw amperage of the refrigerator it looks like...

    Another Bighorn ladder mod

I just finished reinforcing the ladder on my Bighorn and thought I would post some pictures. Having been a professional furniture/cabinet maker for a part of my earlier life my approach to making the split clamps had to be wood. What you see in the photos are split clamps made of red oak spray...

    RIP Babe

Cathy and I have walked the same path as you. "It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. Focus on the 14 wonderful years you had each other. Peace be with you.
