Is it legal to have pets in the TT while moving?

Sounds like an "I don't know, but not a good idea for the sake of the animals" kind of responses. And maybe so...... Aside from comfort/anxiety issues, there are always safety issues I guess. We have a black Lab that can sleep in a hurricane. Probably depends on the particular animal. But to...

Is it legal to have pets in the TT while moving?

We will have 3 adults and 2 dogs while travelling 15,000 miles or so. For the sake of a bit more room in the truck, we thought we would have the dogs in the trailer now and then while on the road. I'm pretty sure that it is illegal to have a human back there, but what about a pet?

    RV Acronyms

Thanks SNOKING. Makes sense. I guess the 'ole brain ain't what it used to be.

    RV Acronyms

Some of the acronyms used to describe a travel trailer are obvious in their translations. I have a Heartland Wilderness WD 2750RL, and I know that the RL means Rear Living, but what does WD mean? Anyone know?

    On Haida Gwaii

We will be leaving in August for Vancouver Island to pick up our Wilderness 2750RL, and from there we will begin our 'round North America odyssey. We plan to see every province in Canada, and then hope to beat the snow to Florida. From there we will cruise the Gulf Coast to Texas, then head...

    Pressure Reducing Valve

Looks good to me, too. I like the idea of the built in gauge on the low side. I'll probably source one.

    Tire info

I don't know what brand of tire I have on my new (to me) Wilderness 2750RL, and it is 1000 miles from here, so I can't just go out and check. When we bought the trailer, the tires looked almost brand new. Having said that, I am wondering what kind of useful life can be expected from most brands...

    Pressure Reducing Valve

Thanks danemayer. I didn't see that. Mind you, my wife would say that I didn't have my "girlie" eyes on. :-)

    Pressure Reducing Valve

Thanks guys. I am quite familiar with Municipal systems, but not with RV stuff. I wouldn't want to blow something up for sure. Thanks again.

    Pressure Reducing Valve

For those who use a PRV on your water system, what do you set the pressure at? Do use the setting that came with the valve? I am familiar with the local RV sites, and I really have not used one. We are setting out on a 3+ month trek, and I guess I'd better be safe rather than sorry and use one...

2013 2750RL Fresh Water tank Location

Can you give me the location of the fresh water tank? I'm wondering if it is forward of the front axle. I'm also wondering about the tank capacity. 35 gallons seems small........ Thanks

    Carrying scooter on rear bumper

I appreciate your input, guys. A toy hauler sounds great, but it's not in the cards for us right now. Looks like the truck bed is the answer for me since it's a short term situation for this one trip. I'll be pushing the rear axle limit on the Tundra, but it will be close for sure. I already...

    Carrying scooter on rear bumper

Thanks IronJ. That was my gut feeling. It's for my 83 year old stepdad to get around on, so i'll have to take it one way or the other. I might have to get creative with a ramp to the truck box, I guess. I'll need room to jackknife when he wants it........ I was thinking that it would be easier...
