Yes, the trailer is plugged into shore power. Seems like there would be much less load on the motor as it lowering the unit ie, raising the leg. Guess I could reverse the two black load wires to the switch to see if it blows the fuse on the way up. thank you for the idea. rod

Good advice. I am removing my Reese in bed rails and remounting with new brackets for the Ram. Your method to calculate still works. Last resort is to reverse the spring mount to level the fiver if needed.

Looking at the new 3500 Ram. Rear bed height is 39 -40". Seems like that height creates problems in getting a level 5th wheel with my New Reese Titan hitch. Any thoughts?

Great idea. Flexible material and easy to mount with screws and let it extend down a half inch or so. Maybe a bead of caulk on the backside before installing so water doesn't get up behind. Thank you for sharing.
