    Thoughts on using Eternabond

Hi all. Hope everyone is excited about gearing up for camping season! I have a question regarding Eternabond. The caulk located on the rear side corners of my 5th wheel keeps opening up. It happens where the fiberglass meets the vertical metal stripping. I have caulked the area probably 5 times...

Slide moved out on its own?

So, I have my 5th wheel (Elkridge 37 Ultimate) stored on a lot when not in use. During the Winter I go once a week and do a drive by to have a look and make sure everything is OK. Yesterday I noticed the bedroom slide was out about 6 inches. All other slides were in fully. I went home to get...

    Dodge Ram Recall

That's good to know. I was worried about long term engine damage. Guess I shut it down in time. Once they figure out the fix I will probably have to take the truck in for another replacement.

    Dodge Ram Recall

I have a 2013 Ram 3500 DRW. This notice came out last Wednesday. The previous Friday, while pulling my fifth wheel, we had our water pump go out on I95 near Fayetteville NC. Luckily we were only 20 minutes from home. The low coolant light came on and less than a mile later the water pump...

    What's Up With My Tires???

I have an Elkridge 37 Ultimate that came with the same rims you have. I immediately changed from TowMax to Sailun S637 (110 psi) and so far have been very please with the tires. I am in my 4th season with them and take between 14-18 trips per season.

    Factory aluminum rims cracking

The 4 replacement rims I got from Tredit had the new "flute" design. Obviously they realized the old design had failure issues.

    Factory aluminum rims cracking

I have included a link to the Tredit warranty web page. You will need pictures of the rim overall and the rim cracks. Also, you will need several pieces of information like a copy of the original bill of sale, tire size, tire weight rating, tire psi, rim serial number, rim dot rating, rim sae...

    Factory aluminum rims cracking

Great news, Tredit has agreed to ship me 3 new rims giving me a complete set of 4. That means they are going to cover the one that I had repaired also. Though they said the warranty was void on that one. I have included pictures of one of my rims. The 3 rims cracked at the same stress point...

    Factory aluminum rims cracking

The picture I used is not of my tires and rims. It was just one that I found online at the time. But, yes, I was concerned about the Towmax tires when I purchased my Elkridge. I litterally drove the rig home and the next day took it to my local tire store and traded the blowmax's for Sailuns.

    Factory aluminum rims cracking

This past weekend I had another rim crack. That's 2 in a month. I have started another claim with Tredit. I have also asked them if they would consider replacing the other 2 rims aswell. One of those I paid to have it repaired a couple of years ago when I did not know Tredit had a warranty. They...

    Factory aluminum rims cracking

I wanted to give an update. Yesterday I called Tredit and spoke with a lady in the warranty department who told me what info they needed. I got all the info from the inside side of the rim, bill of sale and pictures of the crack. This morning I went to their website and entered the info and...

    Factory aluminum rims cracking

Thanks for all your responses. If I may ask, what was the turn around time to receive a new rim after you first reported it to Tredit? Thanks

    Factory aluminum rims cracking

I have a 2014 Elkridge 37 Ultimate. After having my 5th wheel for a year I noticed a tire that kept losing about 10 pounds of air a month. I had it inspected and found there was a hairline crack. I had it welded and since 2015 have had no problems with that rim. This past Wednesday I checked...

    Back to the drawing board

OK, I got up on the roof and removed the fiberglass cover and the Styrofoam one as well. I do not see where I have an additional set of mounting holes on the front or the back. I believe the unit I have is a Brisk Air II. I called heartland and they do not have any other suggestions. Can...

    Back to the drawing board

I just read from another thread that NHCelt sealed the unused A/C mounting holes with caulk and that stopped the leak. This weekend I will get on the roof and take the shroud off both my units to see if I need to caulk the holes.
