    Tire info

Even though you physically have 2 7000# axles, I think Heartland has derated them to something around 6750#. The reference below is from a Heartland model very close to yours in GVWR and the axles are derated to 6750# ea.. The Towmax tires are rated at 3520# at 80 psi. But, other like sized ST...

Do I Need New Wheels with Tire Upgrade?

Depends, most owners will just go with the OE rim marked for 110 psi not thinking about the rim size. If the OE rim is a standard 16x6 it should be changed to 16x6.5 because that's the minimum rim width for the S637 tire. It boils down to a personal decision. The tire manufacturer has listed the...

    New guy with tire questions

I think you should get a second look at the tire size. The ST235/85R16 LRE is rated at 3640# at 80 psi and would be excessive for an OEM fitment for 6000# axles.

    Getting Sailuns installed next week

In the following reference there is a picture of a normal size tire and another of the same size that is in advanced tread separation. It's amazing how far they will grow before they actually fail............(http://www.irv2.com/photopost/showfull.php?photo=27625).

    Tire Pressure

I’m a little late posting in this thread. I’m just going to post the way it’s supposed to be. I know some will disagree but what I print will be from tire industry standards. The primary thing to remember when writing about tire pressures is they are set by the vehicle manufacturer, NOT the tire...

    Blown Tire

Probably caused by setting in the sun with water droplets in the tire. As the air permeates through the tire the water will follow and cause rot. Pretty soon, BOOM! You can service the spare with oil pumped nitrogen. No water, no rot. Or, rotate the tires with the spare in the rotation. TireHobby

    Blown Tire

Tires seldom give the appearance of “blowing out” without a cause. “Blow outs” are most often caused by some sort of road hazard. The appearance of a “blow out” can be caused by the tire being over loaded or under pressurized or both. The tire will get hot from the inside out until it starts...

Replacing the tires on a 37 qb

I think you will find that your 7000# axles have been derated by the vehicle manufacturer to something like 6750# GAWR. Look on your trailer’s certification label to verify that. That’s one of only two ways the vehicle manufacturer can install any of the ST235/80R16E tires. The other way is for...

    Tires

RV trailer manufacturers - like car manufacturers - will give you lots of information about your trailer but seldom tell you the specifics about how that information is applied. The published specs for your trailer lists your axles as 7000#. That's most likely a true statement. You can look on...
