Our rig is permanently set up in an RV resort located near Palm Springs. It is left unattended for 6-7 months each year. In fact we didn't get there at all this winter due to Covid. When we are not there the shore power is disconnected as is the 12v battery. But I'm wondering: do we need a 12v...
We are having serious problems with the burners on our Atwood range. One has already been replaced twice due to flame at the air combustion port that melted a plastic fitting. This would have caused a fire but thankfully was noticed right away. The burner flames burn yellow rather than blue...
Our led light strip is mounted in a plastic track under the awning. The lights themselves still work however the track has warped, I believe from sun heat on the awning above it. We're not talking slight warping here. The entire 16 ft. is completely twisted and gnarled. Heartland has approved...
Our final decision was to have the tub and shower enclosure replaced. Although the replacement tub was slightly deeper than the old one, the repair tech was able to trim it down to fit. turned out good as new.
It would seem from the feedback that specification heights include roof mounted accessories. However, I will take the advice to measure for myself. Thanks to all. Happy RVing.
Does anyone know if the RV 'height' as shown in the specifications sheet / brochure includes the roof air unit? In my case the height of our 5th Wheel is shown as 13' 2". OK I know I could climb up on the roof and try to judge the height by eyeball with the help of someone holding a tape...
Thanks to all for the feedback / advice. While checking further into the issue of replacement vs repair, I have learned the tub (where the small hole is) is a separate installation below the shower enclosure and only that has to be replaced. This can be done without disturbing the upper shower...
During shake down cruise of new unit we discovered a small pea size hole in the fibreglass shower enclosure close to the floor. It was hard to see because the hole was not punched right out. A postage size piece of Gorilla tape has temporarily solved the problem. Heartland has agreed to replace...
Not familiar with the term 'pex lines' however they do go through the frame near the axels. There's a right angle fitting where they disappear through a hole in the frame. None of our previous RV's (and we've had plenty) had these drains. You knew the water tank was full when water started...
On our 2014 3300ML is brand new. Never been used even though a 2014 model. We are about to take it on a short shake down cruise this coming week. There are two clear short 1/2 " plastic tubes hanging down underneath the coach. They are about 8 - 10' long and there is one on each side about...
You are correct Bones. The rubber flap is on the interior at floor level and goes in and out with the slide. It's when slide is being retracted that the roller rides up on the flap and 'eats' it.
As mentioned by 'Bones', I also had cut away the damaged portion of rubber flap in front of the roller leaving the remaining portions in place on both sides of the roller. Will now look underneath with slide extended to check on the sheet metal guard 'sengli' described. Whichever way this...
We have a 2014 Gateway 3300ML. This is the rear kitchen model. There is a rubber flap along the floor below the fridge. Behind the rubber flap is located one of the slide out rollers. It seems when retracting the slide the roller runs up onto the rubber flap and consequently the flap is now...
Thanks to all for the feedback. I guess regardless of whether it's a known name or not, most are manufactured off shore. And as someone mentioned, any given manufacturer may use a multitude of branding names. Time will tell. Have a great summer!
Our new Gateway fifth wheel trailer has a Legend brand flat screen TV in it. I've never heard of this brand name before and am suspicious it is a cheap lower quality TV that Heartland puts in their units to save a few bucks. Hope I'm wrong. We haven't even turned it on yet but am wondering...
