    Bearing question

UNTRUE!!!! What else would you propose to clean them in?? Stoddard Solvent, Safety Clean Solvent, or Mineral Spirits are common good cleaning solvents. If the grease doesn't stick, the bearing are not dry.

#2 Gray water tank discharges does not seem to be closing.

The Barker unit attaches to the valve. I replaced the valves while I was in there. Pretty straight forward install, 4 bolts for the valve, attach a spacer to the valve rod, adjust clearance, attach actuator rod to spacer, run the wires to the control unit, hook up to a 12 volt source and...

Hitch and unhitching tips, on a slight slope.

When parking the rig, chock the trailer wheels, release the parking brake, put the truck in neutral, and foot off the brake. This will release any rolling load off the ball. Then apply the parking brake and put back in park.

#2 Gray water tank discharges does not seem to be closing.

Just replaced both grey cable operated valves with Barker electric operated valves. Our front grey tank valve, bathroom, ha a 72" cable that would not close anymore, felt spongy for the last inch or so when trying to close.

RESOLVED - Water Leak from Fwd AC unit (Road Warrior)

Re: ATF: Road Warrior - Water Leak from Fwd AC unit There are 4 long bolts that go through the ceiling bracket into the bottom of the A/C unit. The unit sets on a foam seal. Try snugging the 4 bolts equally, the torque value is 14 ft lbs. They should all be the same. It also could be over...

    Another Dometic ice maker problem

Check for a 3 amp fuse going to the solenoid valve for the ice maker. Bothe sets of wires are 12 volt, one is for the valve, the other is for the heater on the water line.

    Axel rating

It is usually cheaper to buy the complete axle than to buy the components and install them. I am going to go to 8,000 lb axels when I go to disc brakes, the complete axle is about $100 cheaper than buying the parts.

Filling the fresh water tank with 2 vent tubes ?

When I repaired ours for the water tank falling out, I found I had 4 vents, 3 to the ground, 1 to the gravity fill. I removed 2 and installed a valve in the one remaining.

    AC Condensation on ceiling

Also keep in mind, if you are using a vent/power vent, while you are exhausting air, humid make up air has to come in from somewhere.

Air conditioner condensate runs off roof onto slide rooms.

Water will stay suspended in the evaporator while the fan is running, when the unit/fan shuts down, all that water will run out at once. Normal. Use no-sag Dicor sealant to build a curb to direct the runoff where you want it to go. Water on the slides is not going to hurt anything, it rains...

    Spring & Ubolt problem.

Have you been replacing the spring center bolt?? It is what keeps the spring pack together and in line with the axle. If you just putting the leaf back in and tightening the U-bolts, you will continue loosing the leaves.

Anyone else having problems with RAM 3500?

When running with out a trailer, you need to let the air out of the rear tires. 80 psi for running with max load is way too much for running empty. I always run the rear at 40 psi when not towing the Landmark.

    2015 Ram 3500 DRW 4X4 Question

My 08 and my10 both had the 68RFE tranny, never had an issue with either one. Pulled the 40' Landmark very well. I have the Aisin in my 14, it is a better transmission and I can't believe the way it performs. The 68RFE is an excellent transmission and will provide you years of service, just...

    Running a/c in shed

When we lived in our Landmark while building our new house, it is parked under a carport. I did find that it did help to have a fan blowing across the A/C's just to keep the hot air moving away from the units. In a building, the air will get hotter and pool around the upper parts of the...

    Diesel Exhaust Fluid

I use approx. 5 gallons of DEF while towing heavy every 1000-1200 miles. When bob tailing or towing my light trailer, 6500 pounds, I will get between 2700-3000 miles to 5 gallons. I run it down until I get the refill message, 200 miles till de-rate, then add 5 gallons.
