Where is the hitch in relation to the rear axle? The center of the hitch needs to be forward of center of axle, as much as 4" depending on load, wheel base, etc...

Best thing you can do, is go to good dealer to have your rig setup with the proper hitch and brake controller. Where are you picking up the trailer?? I would start there.

When we wintered in our Landmark 2 years ago, I kept a space heater with a real thermostat to control it in the basement set on 50*. We had overnight temps around 0* with highs in the teens and didn't experience any issues at all.

Personally, I wouldn't tow anything that heavy and tall with a SRW. The Crew cab long box is only 11.5" longer than the Mega short box, I like have the room to turn with out worry of crashing the trailer into the cab.

Part of your problem is, you took it to Camping World. They are notorious for long service delays.

If you can weld, make a set your self, this is what I did. 2" square tubing and 2" angle and about an hour to weld and drill hoes. Cost less than $40.

It is most likely the leafs of the spring pack sliding on each other. It could even be your truck since it is squatted with the load. Some manufactures will install nylon slippers on the end of the leafs in the spring stack.

I would start at what is causing the cracks. With out knowing where they are it is hard to say, if they are on a fifth wheel at the over hang, I would investigate for frame flex or failure.

Check to see if you have water running off the roof first. If you do, it is most likely condensation forming on the inside cover. It happens in more humid climates, particularly if you are just starting the A/C up after the windows have been open or running it for the first time in a while.

Also, have had to add oil to the reservoir?? If not, I would suspect it was corrected and you are dealing with the after affects.

On my 14 Ram, it likes 1750-1800 for cruising, when it does down shift, it only goes to 2000. On the 2010, it liked 2000-2100, when it down shifted, it went 2300.

Don't tighten them bolts too tight, it will leak if too tight, don't ask me how I know. They are only tightened 14 ftpd.

Adjust your hitch to remove the slop, usually a bolt on the front of the hitch with a jam nut.

Also, if you have the selector valves in the basement near the pump, you can isolate the leaking unit by shutting the valve to it, and use the pump to move the other slides.

Under the slides along the frame, there is a square tube that runs between both supports. Get a crescent wrench and rotate the square tube.
