    RW 420 Gas Tanks

We forgot to ask during PDI, which gas tank feeds the generator? We assume it is the rear tank, which corresponds with the tank 2 level showing about 1/2 full from the dealer putting gas in it for the PDI, where the generator ran for a few hours. Is our assumption correct? Thanks!

    Atlanta Campgrounds????

We live within 15 minutes of Stone Mountain Heights (and Stone Mountain Park). I can pretty much echo what's been said. It's ok, clean enough and will do for your purposes. Hwy 78 is a bit of a pain to deal with, and if you come in from 285, you will have to find a round-about way to get in...

    Table Storage on 325

On our '16 RW 420, all three of our tables were strapped to the top of the bed platform (between the mattress and platform). The mattress that came with was woefully inadequate as it was, there was no hiding the bulges the 'cups' on the tables made pointing up into the mattress. It was...

    420 Entertainment Center

Howdy, We just recently purchased a 2016 Road Warrior 420. So far everything has been great with it. We are trying to figure out the living room area TV set-up; specifically cable routing. The TV is mounted high, and to it's left are all of it's hook-up ports, jacks, etc. There is a off-air...

    Towmax blowout 2 days ago

Get rid of them ASAP. We had a very similar thing happen, but we lost two of them within miles of one another on Father's Day this past year leaving us stranded at a gas station until we could have them replaced with GY 614's by roadside service (no Sailuns available). Our first blow out was...

Hearing of icemaker leaks in all models

In the couple of decades I've owned RV's with washer/dryers, not once have I had a leak using the standard rubber hoses. For when I've either bought or owned something approaching 7+ years of age, I run to the home improvement store of choice and get a replacement set to swap them out just...

    Question for residential fridge owners

Our experience with our residential fridge pretty much echos what others have said here (also see our ownership story post). We picked up our Bighorn from the dealer for delivery, and brought it to our local campground about 20 miles down the road from the dealer to get it ready for our first...

Sick of Heartland Big Horn! Worst purchase we have ever made

Hello Georgia neighbor! I would like to know if Heartland replaced your trailer for you, or did you trade out of the original on your own? I'm at an astounding amount of issues as you can see detailed in my latest ownership story post and they haven't offered me anything other than fix, fix...

Hopefully, maybe the last update - we took delivery of our Bighorn back to us this past Friday and did a walk-through and PDI as best we could in the freezing cold. It was at the dealer from end of September until 12 February without interruption. Everything seems fixed, however we can not...

Another update: Still at the dealer, still working on things. I sent a blind email to Jim Fenner on the 24th of November, which included the letter I had composed to the dealer and Heartland back on 24 August. Quickly after, Brandon Fish returns an email to me and gets with the other guy I...

Maybe someday. I've been calling once a week over the past 3 weeks for updates and trying to make progress again. I try not to be a pest, and I'm frankly too busy to deal with this on a daily basis. It'll continue to be a $65,000 depreciating asset, sitting and rotting at the dealership as...

    Awning LED light strip

I'm pretty lucky all of the neighbors love it, some of them have a case of the CLAP going on too, but maybe not to the extent I do. The neighbors directly on either side of us have kids, so they especially like to help, watch the whole process of set-up and then enjoy them.

    Awning LED light strip

We are having the same issues on our 2014 BH. Our strip is dimming, some segments are starting to fail. I engage in doing a rather modest (compared to some others) holiday lighting show on my home that are set to music and have been utilizing them for about 6 years now. At best the type of...

Yup, that. I can even call myself one on many items, that's how it should be? There's nothing wrong with it, but it can lead to blinding insensitivity too. When you invest in something, or an eco system of products there's a reason for it. I like to think it is all due to the traits a great...

Been super busy, haven't had time to re-visit here with an update or deal with the fanboi stress. Heartland finally, mostly, came through on everything but two items which are awaiting further investigation. The rear window leaking was initially declined as they tried to claim that caulking is...

Per Brandon Fish, the service bay is not going to be available directly to customers this year, possibly into some time next year. They don't have the staff for it, which is why we haven't taken ours back to them. Our Bighorn has now sat at the dealer this past month with nothing done...

Re: My mandatory, totally self-serving "New RV" Post!! We have been cooking on induction for over a decade, wouldn't leave home without it. Beyond magnetism, one of the important properties for induction cookware is in the layers or plies of steel running from the center-bottom of...

Well we really can't do that while sitting here in 90deg plus temps, with our dogs and we're basically living in this until we get home through this weekend. I don't see any other signs of an impending meltdown, if I did, we would be outta here in a heartbeat and in a hotel already. The...

This outlet is not on the GFCI line though, would that matter? It's doing it's self test ok as well. I did get a bit more adventurous and opened up the main panel while I had some time, checked the torque on all of the grounds, neutrals and hots on the breakers themselves. All good there...

I haven't heard back from Heartland on this - does anyone have any thoughts on how to stop the leak we've developed at the top of our rear window? They are frameless and there's no caulk around any of them. I'm assuming the lack of caulk is by design, this is the first coach we've had with...
