Popping noise - I've had it checked by dealer

Our dealer tried to fix our system last fall just before we put our BH into winter storage. They thought there may be air in the system. We may not know if this worked until temps warm up in June. Is Lippert going to step up to the plate and cover the repairs after our 1 year Heartland warranty...

    Options? Suggestions welcomed

I would suggest getting the Trail-Air pinbox with the tri glide in place of the Morryde, unless you have an air ride hitch in your truck. It will help with both the "chucking" and rough roads.Keep the ice maker and the central vac. Even though the central vac does not have the power head, it is...

    Vent Door Actuator??

We had a 2008 F250 and had the same problem. Ours was only when the climate control was set to "Auto". I believe it was the blend doors and wad covered by the Ford ESP premium care which I had, but we traded for a new 2012 CC DRW before we had it fixed. You should be covered on that one.

Novice 5th wheeler with problematic new Bighorn

We have enjoyed most of the summer in our 2013 after taking delivery in May this year and only experienced 1 major issue and our warranty repair list is very small. The major issue was a hydraulic ram that came apart due to a faulty cylinder which I can't fault Heartland for. The rest of the...

Level Up Popping Noise- A cure yet??

I know this has been discussed on here but there have been no updates. Our Bighorn is constantly making "popping noises". It seems that it is temperature related as it is worse as the temperature warms in the morning and cools at night. Other campers are asking us what the heck that noise coming...

Wafting Odor - Can't find Point of entry

We have the odor at times also, usually when the AC is running and you first open the door. This may be a stupid question, but if the vent isn't sealed where it comes thru the roof ,wouldn't you notice water coming in when it rains?

Picking up my 2013 Bighorn 3585RL Friday!

Congratulations on the new rig! We moved to a 3585 this year from our previous 3610 and really love it. One additional thing to check is the nuts on all the sink drains. They have been loose on our last two campers. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Popping noise - I've had it checked by dealer

I know this is an older thread, but has anyone found a fix for this problem yet? Ours has been doing the popping also, especially at night and you can actually feel the rig move when it does this. Feels like it drops down when it pops but there are no evident leaks.

    RVLock

I believe when my dealer ordered the rvlock for me thru Heartland, the parts dept. must list each component seperately instead of a complete system like you would get by ordering directly from JT Guardian. Dealer ordered just the lock and the number pad and did not order the remote. I hope this...

    RVLock

Just installed the rv lock. Works great. We only purchased the number keypad and not the remotes, but may invest in the remotes also. Once you program the keypad to your personal code, you have to sync the doorlock to the keypad. Once I finally found the instructions to do this it worked good...

    RVLock

I have the rv lock you are asking about, but not installed yet. I should have it put on today. This is now available thru Heartland's parts department. I had my dealer get this for me but it took a little extra time because parts dept. first sent out the Southco system.I will report back after...

Had a new one ordered for a while , about to call it off. Not happy with Heartland Rep

The outcome was that Heartland's Kary Katzenberger, the Sales Rep, and the dealer are all working together so we can get our new BH in the near future and are keeping us as Heartland customers for a long time to come.

Had a new one ordered for a while , about to call it off. Not happy with Heartland Rep

Thanks for your thoughts, and I understand that this is a busy time for manufacturers. I do know that this rep is not a new rep or a temporary rep, but I do not know if he is close to retirement. I have been a sales rep for 18 years myself and understand busy times, but do everything I can to...

Had a new one ordered for a while , about to call it off. Not happy with Heartland Rep

Sorry BH owners but we loved our BH so much we ordered another. Now due to the Heartland rep's "don't give a crap attitude" we are about to call off the whole deal. Dealer has been great and it is not his fault, and I really hate to stick him with our ordered unit, but his Heartland rep either...

    Trailer Bounces a little

I would not spend the money for the kingpin tripod. We have tried that route. The Ultra-Fab Eliminators or JTs suggested in JohnDar's post #2 is a much better option. They do a much better job than a kingpin tripod. I will be removing a set that I will sell from our current unit as we have a new...

Getting close to pulling the trigger on BigHorn

Congrats hoosblues! We also ordered a 3585 and I believe it has a build date of 4/17. The 3610 we have now has been trouble free for the 2 years we have had it, but we want the Level up and big fridge that we did not order on our 3610. We will be waiting with you!

    2011 BigHorn 3610RE - newbie fivers

I would go with a one ton dually. We are pulling our 3610 with a Ford F250 with air bags and it handles it Ok, but we never travel very far. Our next truck will be be a F350,and likely a dually. Went across the scale last year and pin weight was 3000 lbs.

    Draining the coroplast

We found the same problem with our BH last year and spent alot of time trying to figure out where it was coming from because we had not driven in any rain.We took the colorplast off looking for leaking pipes, tank, etc. to no avail. slides stop pulling in

Both of these responses are great but neither of them address the question. " Just buy a breaker" they say. Well, the last few threads talk about an 80 amp to fix the problem and there is a 50 amp in there from factory. So do we "just go buy a breaker" in 50 amp or 80 amp????

    slides stop pulling in

Our slides will will do this in cooler weather in the spring and fall also when it is around 40-50 degrees . I was planning on switching to the 80 amp breaker this spring. I hope somebody from the factory or Lippert will answer this for all of us. Sounds like several have had this happen. I know...

    Reese Goose Box

After seeing crosswinds blow over a 28' fiver in Iowa last summer I would not use the gooseneck. The trailer was hooked to a Ford Superduty and snapped the ball right off. The top part of the ball was still in the hitch and the box of the truck didn't look too good either.

    Bighorn satelite wiring

If you got the Slimline dish for Directv, get a tripod that will accept a 2" mast. You can get a regular tripod for use on a house or there is a very nice heavy duty setup at tv4u.com. I like the tripod idea so you can move it if there are trees in the way. I mounted my switch/splitter in the UDC...

It is very easy to set up either Dishnetwork or Directv in the 3610. We just switched from Dish to Direct last fall. Does anyone have air springs on your truck?

I have the air springs and only dump the air out for a better ride if driving the truck empty. I have the on board compressor, so it is very easy for me to change pressure. Window lubricant

Re: ATF: Bighorn - Window lubricant There was a post on an earlier thread on this that said screws in window frame were too tight.
